Features and Updates to Support Student Growth with Wayfinder

At Wayfinder, we’re focused on helping schools deliver meaningful learning experiences so students can succeed in school and life. Our latest updates for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year make it even easier to track implementation, monitor student progress, and so much more.

Track Implementation with Completion History + Top Users

Track implementation in real time, down to the class or student level. Users can mark activities and lessons as complete for specific classes or students each time they facilitate instruction, then track completions across the school using the new Completion History tab. Administrators can also gain quick insights into implementation with the new Top Users widget.

Custom Formative Assessment Updates

Counselors, Principals, and School Administrators can now assign custom formative assessments in Waypoints to individual students, save templates for future use, and select a pre-/post-assessment cadence to make progress monitoring even easier and more flexible

Exit Tickets

Understand if lesson objectives were met by using exit tickets at the end of Core Lessons. When students complete exit tickets in the app, data is aggregated in the lesson guide and in Waypoints. This lets you analyze student learning outcomes, identify misconceptions, and plan scaffolds, reteaches, interventions, or extensions using data-driven recommendations.

Note: PreK-2nd grade students do not have logins, so exit tickets must be completed and analyzed outside of the app.

Intervention Planning Tools

Streamline a Counselor’s workflow with the new My Caseload dashboard, and provide stronger support for students and groups with personalized intervention plans. Each intervention plan allows Counselors to:

  • Set and track goals over time
  • Plan targeted interventions, coursework, and strategies
  • Pin assessments and monitor progress
  • Record notes on student growth and session outcomes

Core Skills Screener

Use updated summative assessments that more easily connect to Support Tiers. Screener data helps educators identify students who may need additional skill-building support, measure skill development over time, and inform targeted instruction.

School Climate Survey

Understand and track school climate using feedback from students and staff. Our new survey can help Administrators track climate over time across three domains—Belonging + Relationships, Well-Being + Safety, and Purpose + Engagement—then analyze real-time results and get content recommendations to address specific climate challenges.

Roadtrip Nation x Wayfinder

Help students explore careers and college majors through our premium feature, created in partnership with Roadtrip Nation. The add-on includes Roadtrip Nation’s Virtual Roadtrip for students to:

  • reflect on their interests, explore career paths, and map out potential pathways
  • six teacher-led Wayfinder lessons to prepare for the Virtual Roadtrip
  • a detailed report of students’ results to help identify next steps

Collections to Address Behavioral Concerns

Address common behavioral needs with new Tier 2 + 3 Collections. In response to partner input, we’re adding content on:

  • Elopement
  • Pushback + Refusal
  • Aggression
  • Conflict Repair + Peer Mediation

Portrait of a Graduate Feature Enhancements

Track your framework’s goals and make student progress easier to showcase and assess. Users of this feature can highlight key artifacts and milestones in a student portfolio, create custom rubrics to assess + comment on student artifacts, and measure skill proficiency with data-driven content recommendations.
